Everyone should know that the Council majority was rattled by this outpouring of resident concern. Three council members admonished the residents for not trusting them: Ruth Atkin spoke for 15 minutes, Dick Kassis spoke for 20 minutes and Nora Davis spoke for 15 minutes. John Fricke, agreeing with the residents, spoke for two minutes befor he was interrupted by the mayor...asking him to finish his coments. Fricke was interupted five times by the mayor and no other council members spoke up. This is a perfect example of how this ossified counil majority cannot abide by any dissent whatsoever.
